How to distinguish the quality of steel wire in optical cable

The steel wire in the optical cable is mainly used to protect the optical fiber from mechanical tension.
Good fiber optic cable will generally use high modulus phosphating steel wire, short-term tension is 1500N or 3000N. The inferior fiber optic cable will be replaced by iron wire or ordinary steel wire with a small diameter, which is easy to rust on the one hand;
On the other hand, since the tensile strength is far less than 1500N, the optical fiber may be strained during construction. High modulus phosphating steel wire is generally bluish gray, good toughness, not easy to bend; and the replacement of iron wire and other general pinch in the hand can be free to bend and for a long time, hanging fiber optic box two ends will rust fracture.
