If you don't have a micrometer, then an easier way is to weigh the entire coil of wire to see if it is much lighter than a high-quality cable. Or you can refer to the nominal weight given by the factory. Some factories give the nominal weight is low, naturally can not guarantee the quality of the product. How to distinguish the internal quality of wire and cable: high-quality copper cable using high-purity oxygen-free copper, copper core bright color, poor copper wire surface is relatively dim. The plastic plastic of the extrusion machine uses high-quality primary plastic with good bending performance. Bending the cable will not produce texture. Poor recycled plastic will have obvious texture after bending several times, and will break after bending many times. In order to ensure the roundness of the cable, for multi-core cables, fillers will be added to the core and the thickness of the sheath will be relatively thick. If the cable in hand is not round, it means that the fillers are added very little and the sheath is thin. Cable equipment wire bundle multi-strand copper wire will be bundled during production to improve the tensile performance, roundness, electrical performance and tightness with the insulating layer of the copper core. However, since the wire bundle will increase the amount of copper used, many factories omit this step. The method of resolution is to cut off the core wire of the cable and see if the copper wires inside are regularly stranded together. Braided with copper mesh braided cable, braided layer accounted for a large part of the cost of cable raw materials, and the coverage of the braided layer, directly affect the electrical performance of the cable, at the same time, the tight braided layer can increase the strength of the cable, wire and cable to reduce the decline of electrical performance of the cable in the bent state. Therefore, to see whether the braided layer has high coverage and uniform and fine weaving is an important means to distinguish the advantages and disadvantages of cables.
